Yes, I'm very late with this. I'm not going to say sorry because life happens. But I will just pick up as if it didn't happen. For future reference, this may happen a few times...but I still love you my followers so I will always come back to you :]

This weeks Cover Crazy cover:
Oh my, C.S. Lewis. He's pretty much amazing. Unexplainably so. You just have to expierience his writing for yourself. But the book cover here is one of my favorite. I was talking with a friend about what this specific space trilogy (Out of The Silent Planet), and they were saying that (and I quote)," I cannot believe it took me this long to read this book. I was wondering why I didn't read it before now." This friend was also telling me that the last two books really talk about what makes a person a person. And if you read C.S. Lewis before, you would know that he always uses a story to explain something much deeper than what you are reading. And he does such a wonderful job too. I have yet to be disappointed with it. I'll write a review this week for the first book. Anyway, moving on to why I like this cover:
Here is the front cover of the second book enlarged so you can see it better:
First off, I love the colors. The red dragon contrasted with the black and yellow background...it just "feels" other worldly. Next, the trees to the side look just like palm trees, but palm trees don't produce food that looks like that. And last ever one looks angry and the whole picture is very "busy". This is interesting because the first book (Out of The Silent Planet) is all about a man who is kidnapped by humans and brought to another world to be sacrificed, only to find out that this world is the most peaceful place he's ever had the chance not to understand. The world he finds himself on is completely different from the one he was born. More on that later. Basically what I'm trying to say is that the first book is about peace and this illustration for the second book looks like they all want to kill something. Just makes me want to read it even more.
Well that's it for this weeks Cover Crazy. Comments are always welcome.

That is really neat. Does the inside of the cover or the back give a credit or something to say who painted it or what the painting's name is? Cool!

I dont know who created this one because I don't have this cover for the book. I have the old one and it's different. But maybe I can post that one.
