I decided a little while back that for every 20 followers I would feature a blogger. And because Ellie from Curiosity Killed The Bookworm( <-- Click Me) was my 20th follower I will be featuring her today.
Here are some other places (other than blogger) that you can find her at: (Just Click The Name)
And now a showcasing of her latest review:
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
My name is Ellie (short for Eleanor) and I'm known as patchworkbunny online hence the pwb abbreviation on my blog. I was born and raised in Scotland but now live on the south coast of England, literally minutes from the beach. I have a degree in photography but somehow ended up working in IT!
What is your favorite genre?
My favourite books are often those that really don't fit neatly into any genre. The genre I read most would probably be urban fantasy.
What is/are your favorite book(s) of all time?
Bitten by Kelley Armstrong, The Raw Shark Tests by Steven Hall and The Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham are among my all time faves, although that list is growing rapidly. There's just so many great books out there.
What is/are your least favorite book(s) of all time?
I tend to give up on books if I'm not enjoying them. I tried reading J.D. Robb's In Death series and managed to get through two books before realising I hated the writing and the characters.
What about writing do you like or dislike?
I love the way that books can move you, entertain and educate. There's nothing better than staying up late just because you cannot put the book down. Characters are the most important part to me, if I can't connect with them, no matter how well a book is written, I just don't enjoy it so much.
Can you remember your first review ever? If so what book was it on?
I probably wrote something when I was a kid but the earliest one I can find online is for a health food book I posted to Amazon; The 150 Healthiest Foods on Earth by Jonny Bowden (<-- Click Me).
What got you started in blogging your book reviews?
I can't remember how I found Read It Swap It (<-- Click Me) but that started the ball rolling a few years ago. I've been posting to Goodreads for a while and suddenly felt like I wanted to write more and not necessarily stay on topic. That was only a few weeks ago and here I am!
What do you like to do when you aren't blogging?
Read? Haha, well I also like taking photographs and try to post to Flickr on a regular basis but the blogging's starting to get in the way! I also enjoy cooking, especially learning to make something new and delicious.
